He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lawton and Maude Lawton; his siblings, Sonny, Melvin, Connie, Tilly and Gloria; his wife Yvonne Marie Johnson; his daughter Rene; his grandson Isaiah Neal; and his great grandchild Brandon Jeffrey.
He is survived by: his siblings, Carol Kay, Victoria and Marvin; his children, Calvin Jr., Roderick and Roslyn; and his stepdaughter Corliss. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren, along with extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Capitol City Community Church of God (1191 SE 37th St, Topeka, KS 66605). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
