She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Linford VanRiper and Ruth Pearl Patterson; her spouse Alva Busey; her stepfather Justin "Gus" Chilcott; and her brother Richard Werts.
She is survived by: her children, Shelly Pfeffer (Rob) of Topeka, KS, Terri Wells (Bob) of Topeka, KS, Patrick Busey (Kelly) of Harveyville, KS and Craig Busey (Kim) of Topeka, KS; her grandchildren, Ashley, Brenna, Jessica, Bobbi, Dylan, Chelsea, Blake, Cooper, Jacob and Logan; her great grandchildren, Jordan, Jayce, Ashton, Tason, Dallas, Owen, Noah, Kemper, Briley, Reid, Kyson and Lainey; and her sisters, Linda VanRiper of Perry, KS and Alice Bates of Buckeye. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
