He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Mathis and Jean Mathis; his sister Debra Jean Mathis; and his former wife Rhonda Mathis. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Gustin; his stepchildren, Jim Gustin (Lisa), Bryan Gustin (Lakisha) and Lanette Hastert; his daughter Adrien Nedrow (Michael); his granddaughter Micayla; and his brothers, David Mathis (Cheryl) and John Mathis (Rhonda). He is also survived by several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Parker-Price and Davidson Cremations and Funerals (245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608).
