He was predeceased by : his wife Judy Shaughnessy (Rignell); his parents, Robert Shaughnessy and Delores Shaughnessy (Wolverton); his daughter Leanne Shaughnessy; his stepson Teddy Kleiner; his granddaughter Jessica McCall; and his sister Dee Shaughnessy-Chapman.

He is survived by : his children, Tara Albright (Larry), Sean Shaughnessy and Cole Shaughnessy (Sara); his stepchildren, Patty Baldwin (Jeremy Tull), JerriJo Leonard (Jim Bass) and Tommy Kleiner; and his brother Robert Shaughnessy Jr..
