He was predeceased by: his mother Reva Nell May; and his grandparents, Mary, Frank King, Clyde and Winifred May.

He is survived by: his father Robert May; his wife Sue Ayers-May; his sister Mary (Marshall Kennedy); and his nieces, Kelly Kennedy and Emily Kennedy.
