He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eva Mae Nolting Blackwell and Elmer Blackwell; his children, David Blackwell Jr., Megan Blackwell, Casey Blackwell, Sasha Blackwell and Christopher Blackwell; and his siblings, Ronald Elmer Lee Blackwell, Richard Allen Blackwell and Eva Eileen Blackwell.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bowser Johnson Funeral Chapel (723 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, KS 66603). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Leavenworth National Cemetery (150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, KS 66048).
