Debra will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Debra by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Debra is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Debra’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivan Beach and Viola Beach (Koci); and her brother Galen. She is survived by: her son Shawn (Andrea); her grandchildren, Ivan, Zach and Brianna; and her cousin Karen Tuffley.
In a final act of generosity and lifelong dedication to science and medicine, Debra chose to donate her body to the KU Willed Body Program to support medical education and research.
