We announce the death of Donna Freel in Topeka, Kansas, who passed away on September 18, 2026, at the age of 86. Donna will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dale H. Barr and Ena F. Lefebvre Barr of Lee's Summit; and her husband Larry. She is survived by: her children, Gary Freel (Jeanette) of Clovis, CA and Sharon Huesers of Overland Park, KS; her grandchildren, Joshua Freel (Tiffany), Caleb Freel (Marin), Christian Huesers (Ashley) and Jordan Laskey (Max); her great grandchildren, Jaxson, Thomas, Olivia, Asher, Weston, Sophia, Isabelle, Decklan and Isla; and her siblings, Roger Barr (Donna) of Topeka and Linda Johnston (Roland) of Ft. Mill, SC..
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home (2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka, KS 66614). Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 1:45 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Mid-America Heart Institute, in care of the funeral home.
