She was predeceased by: her parents, Aloysius "Boots" Strecker and Agnes Flynn Strecker; and her siblings, Elizabeth "Betty" Stewart, William "Bill" Strecker, Carl "Pete" Strecker and Jeannie Boos.
She is survived by: her children, Dan Melchior (Julie), Diana Lee (Larry) and Debi Meier (Todd); her grandchildren, Lauren Johnson (Luke), Evan Melchior, Nathan Melchior, Joshua Lee (Jourdyn), Matthew Lee, Maria Brownfield (Alec), Nora Brooks (Jesse), Malory Bychinski (Ian), Audrey Shattuck (Parker), Kyle Meier and Allyson Meier; and her great grandchildren, Leo Johnson, Penelope Bychinski, Ember Brooks and Isla Lee.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home (2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka, KS 66614). A rosary was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Church (3601 SW 17th St, Topeka, KS 66604).
Memorial contributions are suggested to Hayden Catholic High School or Most Pure Heart of Mary Church Ministry of Care, sent in care of the funeral home.
