Though Edward may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his father Howard E. Ives. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Seymour Ives; his daughter Chelsea Kinder Ives (Nickolas); his brother Jay Ives; and his mother Jo Ann Overbey Ives of Topeka. He is also survived by many cousins on his mother.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home (2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka, KS 66614). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Angels Cemetery (20551 179th St, Tonganoxie, KS 66086).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the Capper Foundation, Helping Hands Humane Society, or Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library, sent in care of the funeral home.
