With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward R Wood of Topeka, Kansas, who passed away on March 8, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Edward departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Edward. Though Edward may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gary Wood and Marge Wood (Kammerer); his wife Bridget; his children, Becky Bowen, Stephanie Sisk and Kevin Wood; and his sons-in-law, Brady Sisk and Jon Bowen.

“Sending thoughts and prayers to all of you. Dr. Wood was an amazing provider to my husband and a great person in general. I worked at 901 and got to witness his orneriness "in person" on a daily basis. He definitely made the workplace better when he was there, he spoke to everyone he came in contact with, and everyone was equal in his eyes (he wasn't any better because he was a physician). It hasn't been the same since he retired, but his priority was to enjoy his time with his family.”
