He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas F. Slocum and Gladys M. Slocum (Spiker); and his brothers, Omer A. Slocum and Orwin C. Slocum. He is survived by: his children, Janet Farwell, Ron Slocum (Patty) and Janis Faulkenberry (Brian); his sister Connie Trimble (Don); and his grandchildren, Misty Gray, Melissa Brecheisen (Heath), Ron Farwell, Jessica Joost (Branden), Jennifer Slocum, Madison Mershon (David) and Kyle Faulkenberry. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dove Southwest Chapel (3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS 66610). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
