With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Frieda M. Schmidtlein of Topeka, Kansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. The passing of Frieda leaves a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Boos and Catherine Boos (Boos); her husband Vincent DePaul Schmidtlein; her siblings, Jean Guth and Don Boos (Joan Boos); her son-in-law Larry Heller; and her siblings-in-law, Louise Schmidtlein, Andrew Schmidtlein and Gregory Schmidtlein.
She is survived by: her children, James (Debbie Schmidtlein) of Topeka, Sue Heller of Topeka, Mary (Brad Sedlacek) of Topeka and Steve Schmidtlein of Topeka; and her siblings-in-law, Bernard Schmidtlein, John Guth, Jean Schmidtlein and Jan Schmidtlein. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson, loving extended family that includes numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (312 NE Freeman Ave, Topeka, KS 66616). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (801 SW Westchester Rd, Topeka, KS 66606).
Memorial contributions can be made in Frieda's memory to Sacred Heart-St. Joseph Parish and/or Ascend Hospice.
