He is survived by: his wife Margaret Newell; his daughter Karla Means; his stepchildren, Pamela Logan (Don) and Scott Siple (Amy); his grandchildren, Lane Grist (Erinn), Jessica Weems (Easton), Dayne Shelman (Staci), Daylee Burenheide (AJ), Dawson Logan (Madi), Dayton Logan, Nathan Siple (Jamie) and Rachel Siple; his great grandchildren, Maddyn, Grady Grist, Cal Weems, Bryce, Wyatt, Tyson Shelman, Crew, Charlie, Boaz and Duke Siple; and his brother Donald Newell.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church (7433 SW 29th St, Topeka, KS 66614).
