He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey A. Smith and Doris Irene Smith (Ollinger); and his siblings, Donna Rose, Margie Johnson and Earnest Lee Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Jan Smith; his children, Laura Parker (Jamie) and Steven Smith (Gina); his stepson Scott Meddings (Susan); and his siblings, Judith McGhee (Larry) and Raymond Smith (Nancy). He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: • Laura's family: 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren,• Steven's family: 1 grandchild, 2 step-grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
