She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Hillard and Celia Mae Grimes; her husband Almanzo "Al" Sherman (Al); her son Terry Sherman; and her siblings, Raymond Sanders, Emory L. Walker, Eddie L. Smith and Virna Harness.
She is survived by: her children, Harrold Wayne (Maria Randi Sherman), Veronica Kay (Dennis Henderson), Gerry Sherman (Rochelle) and Connie Mae (Dwayne Zimmerman). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other beloved family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the True Light Baptist Church (2046 SE California Ave, Topeka, KS 66607). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the True Vine Missionary Baptist Church (307 SE Tefft St, Topeka, KS 66607).
