She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Joseph Taylor, Sr. and Helen Elizabeth Taylor (Kaberlein); her husband Robert A. Baum; her daughter Kathleen M. Schleuder (Leslie); her grandchildren, Gregory Michael Boyett and Samantha E. Baum; and her siblings, Delores, Rosemary, Theresa, Mary Ann, Roberta, Charles and Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Suzanne "Sue" Powell (Robert), Timothy "Tim" J. Baum (late Kimberlee), Mark A. Baum (Margie L.) and Robert A. Baum (Jenie); and her sisters, Margie Taylor and Patricia Hannah. She is also survived by loving 22 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren with one on the way, and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (227 SW Van Buren St, Topeka, KS 66603). A rosary was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (801 SW Westchester Rd, Topeka, KS 66606).
Memorial contributions can be made in Helen's memory to Mater Dei Parish for funds designated to the Assumption Tower Fund and/or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home.
