He is survived by: his friend Ernie Garcia; his cousin Jerri Salinas; his former wife Cynthia Vance; his family, Dr Roy and Dr. Bill Roy; his brothers, Jerry Avila (Norma) and Steve Avila; his aunt Susan Mujica; his former wife Stephanie Avila (Darrah); his children, Ashley Avila and Aimee Avila-Bruno (George); and his grandchildren, Audrina Bruno, Cruz Dilone, Elena Solis and Elia Solis.
