With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Idell M. Dankert (Topeka, Kansas), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, E. W. Stengel (Brownie) and Hilma Haakenstad Stengel; her husbands, William Wilson and Howard Dankert; her sister-in-law Martha Hefty; and her granddaughter Nicole Sanderson.
She is survived by: her sister Merryll Fawbush; her siblings-in-law, Dorthy Dankert-Slaughter and Theodore Dankert (Barbra); her nieces, Ingrid Wilson-Huelsnitz (Jeff), Stephanie Wilson-Kocher (Christopher), Debbie Dankert-Stepp (Larry), Diane Dankert-Blackwood and Denise Dankert-Sanderson (Jim); and her nephew Blake Brownie Wilson (Tamara). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, April 27th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church (1716 SW Gage Blvd, Topeka, KS 66604).
In lieu of flowers, Idell wished for donations to be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
