He is survived by: his wife Edna; his children, James Chance Jr. (Karen) of Topeka, John Chance (Christie) of Topeka and Jackie Piel (Gary) of Topeka; his grandchildren, Devin, Bailey, Sydni, Bradley, Dalton, Bethany and Camryn; his great grandchildren, Niles, Jade and Ezra; and his siblings, Maylene, Linda, Brenda and Jim Davis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Topeka Bible Church Youth Program or the Topeka Rescue Mission.
