He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry E. Witherell and Shirley F. Witherell (Sleight); his wife Lizzy; and his brother John Witherell. He is survived by: his son Michael Witherell; his grandchildren, Achilles, Ragnar and Athena Witherell; and his brother Jeff Witherell.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (201 NE Chandler St, Topeka, KS 66616). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions can be made in James's memory to Helping Hands Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
