He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Herynk and Margaret Murphy Herynk. He is survived by: his wife Diane; his daughter Jenny Thomas (late Todd) of Overland Park; his grandchildren, Samantha and Heath; his son Matt Herynk of Lawrence; his grandchildren, Emma and Luke; his children, James Herynk of Lawrence and Katie Herynk of Topeka; and his sisters, Kathleen Miles (Marc) of Albuquerque, NM and Mary Margaret McCarthy of Chino Hills, CA..
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home (2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka, KS 66614). A rosary will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (5973 SW 25th St, Topeka, KS 66614-1973).
