He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Murray and Sarah Murray (Lane); his wife Karolyn L. "Karol" Anderson; his son Ruben; and his sisters, Carolyn and Blanche.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Sexton of Topeka, Kristie Carter of Topeka and Dorcella Reese of Copperas Cove; his sister Joyce Hayes of Topeka; and his aunt Viccie Duckworth of Topeka. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
