She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Peeler Herd and Lela Mae Caldwell Herd; and her husband Wilbur Horace Hite. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, and ten nieces and nephews, all children of her husband, Bill's, brothers, and sister.
