He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Vernon and Minnie Ann Rose (Traphagen); and his brothers, Jerry Rose, Ronnie and Donnie Fitzgerald.

He is survived by: his sons, Jimmy Lee Rose (Sonia Collins) of Topeka and Earl Alvin Rose (Heidi Champagne) of Lawrence, KS; his grandchild Dakota; and his siblings, Penny Jo Chase of Topeka and Bobby Fitzgerald (Debbie) of Topeka.
