He is survived by: his parents, Anne Black (Carrington) and James Black; his wife Nichole Cooper; his siblings, Tony Black, Daniel Black, James Black, Annette Black and Amy Showalter; his children, Anita Brown, Jazman Jones, Brandon LaBarge and Alexis Black; his stepchildren, Robbie Smith, Elliott Cooper and Eadrian Cooper; and his grandchildren, Doreon Jones, Riko LaBarge, Lily LaBarge, Damireon Dozier, Kalista Cooper and Kane Smith.
He later became a Zumba instructor for both the YMCA and Genesis Health Club, performing locally and in other states for charity events and community celebrations.
