He is survived by: his siblings, Margaret L. Gartner and Michael A. Gartner; and his cousins, Nancy Wilkinson (Mike Ryan), Lisa Hill and Gina Wilkinson (Luis Sanchez). He is also survived by cousins and friends.

Memorial contributions can be made in John's memory to Sacred Heart-St. Joseph Catholic Parish.
