She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Griffith and Mabel Griffith; her brother Jay Griffith of Clayton Kansas; her former husband Wes Smith; and her husband Sam Chapman.
She is survived by: her daughter Kate (Chris Hamilton) of Topeka; her granddaughter Tahira (Alan Schmidt); her great grandchildren, Cordae, Jordan and Ryland of Hoyt Kansas; her grandson Noah Hamilton (Sarah Tesch); her daughter Talia of Useldange, Luxemburg.; her grandson Shawn (Meridith); her great grandchildren, Nicholas and Jillian of Crestwood, Kentucky.; her daughters, Karen (Leu Lowrey) of Owasso and Jessica (Jeremy); her great grandchildren, Junuh and Rafe of Tulsa, Oklahoma.; her grandson Justin (Jennifer); her great grandchildren, Briar and Finnley of Collinsville, Oklahoma.; her son Kyle (Claudia Smith) of Topeka; her grandson Wes (Katie Smith); her great grandchildren, Bryn and Abby of Overland Park, Kansas.; her granddaughter Allison (David King); and her great grandchild Charlie of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church (3450 SE Indiana Ave, Topeka, KS 66605). The inurnment will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Kansas Cemetery.
