She was predeceased by: her parents, Sterling Eugene Peel and Helen A. Bell Peel; her husband Ed; her son Steven Hartegan; and her brother-in-law Duane Griffin.
She is survived by: her siblings, Sandy Griffin, Doris Frame (Russell), Janis Deveney (Joe) and Michael Peel (Monica); her stepmother Rose Marie Lindeken; her stepsisters, Karen and Debbie Gottesburen; and her children, Debbie Newton (Bob) and Brian Hartegan (Lea Ann). She is also survived by five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dove Cremations (3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS 66610). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
