She was predeceased by: her parents, Freeman Abel and Mary Abel. She is survived by: her children, Deanna Mahoney (Kenneth), William Smith (Lindsay) and Dwayne Smith; her sister Mary Clelland (Dale); and her grandchildren, Kenneth Mahoney, II, Christopher Main, Tiffany Mahoney of Dwayne Smith, II., Marissa Smith, Emma Smith, Drake Smith and Daizey Smith.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home Chapel (1321 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS 66604). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to be made out to Penwell Gabel in care of Karen Smith.
