He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Schwarz and Mary Schwarz (Nightingale); his parents-in-law, Ben and Iverna Teske; his son Bret Schwarz; his siblings-in-law, Fred Rengstorf, Kay Carl and Joanne Teske; and his great-nephew Oliver Nimmo.
He is survived by: his daughter Carla Shutak (John); his grandchildren, Ashley Mullock (Michael), Derrick Schwarz, Ehren Schwarz, Caleb Schwarz, Dawson Schwarz, Jocelyn Shutak and Ivan Shutak; his great grandchildren, Jace, Ian and Declan Mullock; his siblings, Hal Schwarz, Mary Alice Cole and Robert Schwarz (Deb); and his siblings-in-law, Harlan Teske (Jean) of Topeka, Gary Teske (Linda) of Topeka and Sherry Rengstorf.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (3625 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS 66614). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery (20715 Duluth Rd, Onaga, KS 66521).
Memorial contributions are suggested to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and those may be sent in care of Campanella and Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego.
