Kathryn leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Kathryn’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Kathryn will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Glenn and Virgie Glenn (Haggins); her husband Burnett Garland Sr.; her children, Pamela Shears and Aldo Scott Wright; and her sister Norma Galloway.
She is survived by: her children, Michelle Glenn and Stacey Wright. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the New Mount Zion Baptist Church (2801 SE Indiana Ave, Topeka, KS 66605).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Midland Hospice House in appreciation of the compassionate care Kathy received during her final days.
