He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Rutz and Lucile Rutz (Morris); his wife Patricia E. Johnson (Rickman); his grandchildren, Taylor and Jordan; and his siblings, Orville "Lee", Morris, LeRoy "Shorty", George and Kay.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Long (Jody), Sherry Kerns (Kent), Keith Rutz, Jr., Heather Barber (Anthony) and Heidi Goodack (Brian). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
