It is with sadness that the passing of Lonnie U. Hobbs of Topeka, Kansas is shared. Lonnie, born on June 11, 1935, passed away on October 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Lonnie will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Lonnie by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Lonnie is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Lonnie’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Hobbs and Nancy Hobbs (Johnson); and his siblings, Floyd Hobbs and Mildred Wampler. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hobbs; and his children, Daryl Hobbs (Jan) and Rick E. Hobbs. He is also survived by four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Topeka Cemetery in the Garden Chapel (1601 SE 10th Ave #1, Topeka, KS 66607).
