It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marian Orton (Topeka, Kansas), born in Burlingame, Kansas, who passed away on February 22, 2026, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis "Frank" Marian and Opal Nicely Olson Shipp; her husband Guy C. Orton; her stepdaughter Karen Bartel; her grandson Daniel Emerson; and her siblings, Merl Shipp, Paul Shipp, Edward Shipp, Pauline Love and Ida Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Rich Holliday (Gay), Richard Orton (Linda), Joel Orton (Claudia), Kevin Orton (Kathy), Rex Orton (Robin), Phil Holliday (Carolyn) and Jo Emerson; and her grandchildren, Mike Stanley (Kim), Bennet Orton, Craig Orton, Alaire Wilson (Rob), Matt Orton, Joe Orton, Makenna Orton, Max Orton, Makade Orton, Pamela Szuba (Keith) and Mary Joe Sullivan (Frank). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
