She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Heitz and Hazel Heitz (Waggoner). She is survived by: her siblings, Mark Heitz (Lisa) of Topeka, Kansas and Carol Murphy of Leavenworth, Kansas; her nieces and nephews, Kyle Murphy (Bridget) of Bellevue, Nebraska, Kristopher Murphy (Barb) of Topeka, Kansas, Kara Heitz (David Sylvester) of Mission Hills, Kansas, Dr. Kim Murphy of Moline and Kristina Murphy of West Liberty, Iowa; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Joe, Kendall Murphy, Cabot, Claudia Sylvester, Hazel and Thomas Murphy.

In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorials be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, Inc., 5720 SW 21st St., Topeka, Kansas 66604 and can also be left in care of Brenner Mortuary.
