We are sad to announce that, on February 5, 2026, at the age of 101, Marthetta Edwards in Topeka, Kansas, born in Bird City, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Tim O. Edwards; her parents, Edna L. Bristow-Minor and S. Harold Minor; and her brother Milton Minor. She is survived by: her sons, Tim Edwards (Carolyn), Sid Edwards (Debbie), Bill Edwards (Nancy), George Edwards (Mary) and Gene Edwards (Mary Nimz); and her sister Mary Ann Kersenbrock.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Marty's honor to either Washburn University Music Department 1700 SW College Ave., Topeka, KS 66621 (Attn: Music Department) or to the Topeka First United Methodist Church.
