With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ann Short of Topeka, Kansas, who passed away on October 18, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her father Walter; her former life partner Richard Short; her children, Steven Short (Janice) of Topeka, Kevin Short (Sandy) of Topeka, Lori "Guss" Short of Topeka and Lisa Zeller (Dan); her daughter-in-law Jacque Henne of Paxico, Kansas.; her son Jeff; her grandsons, Lucas Short and Robbie Zick Short; her brother Warren Schultz; her nephew Daniel Schultz; and her pet Charlie.

Masks and social distancing are required at the Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, Topeka Rescue Mission, or Mater Dei Catholic Parish, sent in care of Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road Topeka KS 66614.

She was delighted to learn that it was home for several handicapped young men. She enjoyed the pictures of them in the home and sitting on her grandmother's porch.
