Michael leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Michael’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Michael will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom King and Aylce King; his sister-in-law Lisa King; and his nephew Kyle King.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel (32665 Lexington Ave, De Soto, KS 66018). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (820 Birch St, Eudora, KS 66025). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Cemetery (820 Birch St, Eudora, KS 66025). His intention after retiring from ISO was to travel to see more of Americas, but the Covid pandemic shut his travel plans down to the last two years he was in Nebraska.
He served on the Kansas Jaycees Cerebral Palsy Ranch Foundation for 6 years.
