He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Thonen and Helen Grannell Thonen; and his siblings, Neita Douglas and Ronald Thonen. He is survived by: his wife Connie Schuetz Thonen of Leo's Catholic Church; his pet Max; his children, Jill Johnson of Fate, Texas and Casey Thonen of Topeka; his grandson Jace Johnson of Fate, Texas; and his brother Kenneth "KDon" Thonen of Topeka. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
