In loving memory of Molly C. Wieland (Topeka, Kansas), who departed this world on August 23, 2025 at the age of 99. Molly leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Stark Child and Blanche Booth Child; and her grandfather William Henry Child. She is survived by: her husband Bill; her children, Rebecca Crotty (Rich Bonebrake) of Topeka, Mary Burns (Curtis) of Sioux City and Bill Wieland (Sue) of Ulysses; her grandchildren, Beth (TJ), Matthew, Nathan (Jennifer), Tyler (Sarah), Trafton (Amber) and Trent (Hannah); her great grandchildren, Siena, Willow, Toree, Taylor, Madison, Bailey, Suzie and Haydon; and her sibling's children, Misty Haley, Cindy, Kelly, Chris and Kenny. She is also survived by four great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Fellowship Hall at the United Presbyterian Church (1719 Texas St, Garden City, KS 67846).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Lee Richardson Zoo and sent to Friends of Lee Richardson, P.O. Box 1638, Garden City, Kansas where Molly enjoyed countless trips to the zoo with her children and grandchildren.
