She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Hiner and James Hiner Sr.; and her siblings, James Hiner Jr., Alvin Hiner and Mary Cook.
She is survived by: her husband Ed Ritchie; her former husband William K. Smith of St. Mary's, Kansas.; and her children, Janie Brown (Johnny), Judy McCrite (Patrick), Johnny Smith (Paula), Suzanne Chapek (Michael) and Sherry Waterstreet (Jeff).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, sent in care of the funeral home.
