She was predeceased by: her parents, Billy Leroy Crowder and Ramona Evelyn Crowder (Hobbs); her former husband Stephen Michael Hefner; and her stepsons, Kevin Anderson and James "Kimo" Anderson II.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sarah E. Nelson (Nikkolas) of Topeka and Allison M. Morgan (Travis) of Maple Hill, Kansas; her husband Henry Montez of Topeka; her grandchildren, James Anderson III, Dalton Morgan (Morgan), Trenton Morgan (Bre), Brooklyn Palubinski (Dylan Coleman), Faith Morgan, Mickey Morgan, Kimora and Kimbria Johnson; and her siblings, Cheryl Bozarth and Bill Crowder of Topeka. She is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Penwell Gabel Funeral Home (1321 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS 66604). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
