She was predeceased by: her parents, John A. Kurtz and Marjorie B. Kurtz (Jeffries); her former husband Russell Hamlin; her sister Deborah Reed; and her great grandchild Angelina Brooks.

She is survived by: her children, Gary Brooks, Christina Allen, Angela Casto and Nichole Isley; her brothers, George Kurtz, Michael Kurtz and Tim Kurtz; her pet Chompers; and her brother John Kurtz of Lawrence. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Nichole Isley to help with funeral expenses and mailed to the funeral home.
