He was predeceased by: his parents, Elza B. Shead and Mary Ann Jenkins Shead; his wife Doris Miller; his sons, Aaron, Frank, Ray and David; and his siblings, Leola Stephenson, Crystal Barnard, Goldie Benoist, Montcella Snook, Velma Taney, Barbara Harris, Clarence and William Shead.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Shead, Kimberly Goodman, Christine Garrett, Michael and Joe Shead; his siblings, Joan Shead Hamilton, Marilyn Shead Soash (Charles) and Jerry Shead (Dee); and his granddaughter Jada Appenfeller.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Midland Care or the American Legion, sent in care of the funeral home.
