He is survived by: his father Miguel Vargas; his wife Adela Vargas; his children, Michael Vargas, Lydia Huizar (John Huizar), Olivia Vargas and Susan Vargas (Tom); his grandchildren, Paul Hanson Mose (Melissa Mose), Amanda Marie (Huizar), Barela (Amado Barela III), Joseph John Huizar (Anna Huizar), Mark Melendez (Mickey), Nicolas Melendez and Lena Maria Mose (Evan); his great grandchildren, Layla Marie Barela, Benjamin Mose, Eva Mose, Penelope Mose and Maya Melendez; his sister Francis Chavez (late Joe Chavez); and his sisters-in-law, Angela Villicana (Fernando), Elizabeth Romero (Joe), Rebecca Hernandez (Joe) and Isabella Vargas (late Tavy).
