She was predeceased by: her parents, Ishmael Valdivia and Simona Valdivia (Silva); her husband Joker; and her siblings, Esther Sepulveda, Peter Valdivia, Raymond Valdivia, Frank Valdivia, Albert Valdivia, Aurora Campos, Virginia Ramos, Joseph "Chepo" Valdivia and Teresa Adame.
She is survived by: her sons, Jose Mendez, Jr. of San Antiono, TX, Robert D. Mendez of Allen, TX, Eric E. Mendez of Topeka, KS and David J. Mendez (Fran) of Allen, TX; her grandchildren, Kailey M. Mendez, Maggie M. Mendez, Zachary M. Mendez and Noah Valdivia-Mendez; and her siblings, Mary Munoz of Topeka, Andrew "Cokie" Valdivia (Patti) of Topeka and Abel Valdivia (Lonnie) of Topeka. She is also survived by her family, her love for children.
