It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rita Gretchen Lindabury of Topeka, Kansas, born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on October 14, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Matthew R. Rudolph and Zella Wylie Rudolph (Borton); and her brother Dennis Rudolph (Donald Lindabury). She is survived by : her son Michael Makovec; her daughter-in-law Julie; and her grandchildren, Kaven, Abrianna, Danyala and Gabriel Makovec. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church and sent in care of the funeral home.

Larry D Buckles wrote a sympathy message

“Growing up on W. 10th Street in Topeka, I have very fond memories of Gretchen and Don. They were great neighbors. My parents Loren and Wanda Buckles were friends with them, and stood up with them at their wedding. I had been to their house a number of times, as they were at ours. I remember a picnic our family had with them at Osage County State Lake. I even took them for a ride on the lake in my canoe. They were a great couple! With much sympathy, Larry & Cheryl Buckles and family.”
