He is survived by: his wife Shirley Atchison; his children, Carolyn Bonczkowski (Chad) of Topeka, Kansas, Steve Atchison of Grand Junction and Russell Atchison (Cathy) of Topeka, Kansas; his grandchildren, Bobby, Beth, Sara, David, Jessica, Kayla, Corey, Brandi and Cody; and his brother Charles Atchison. He is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren.
