He was predeceased by: his parents, Earle Brooks and Lola Vest Brooks; his sisters, Earlene Van Houtan and Velma Dennis; and his wife Nancy Brooks.
He is survived by: his children, Dan Brooks (Kim), Robyn Case (Marlin), David Brooks (Donna) and Darrin Brooks; his grandchildren, Justin Case, Kacy Brooks, Ryan Brooks, Adam Brooks, Jana Ingalsbe, Emily Burgoon and Makayla Brooks; and his sister Vesta Sue Cheatham (Flem). He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the West Side Christian Church (432 SW Lindenwood Ave, Topeka, KS 66606).
